On a sunny, spring day in '82, Emory's father heard a shout. Working as the top tree planter, the word spread up
the mountain, he dashed into Taos, NM, to greet his son as he was born. At six months old, they moved to the
Yucatan Peninsula. He ran the streets as a young child, speaking fluent Spanish and enjoying the culture of
Mexico, where his sister was born.
At age seven, Emory's family traveled West from California, Oregon, Montana, before settling in Durango,
Colorado in 1992.
Emory's father, started making southwest jewelry creations in the 1970's. Following in his father's footsteps,
together they made EmorySilver what it is today. Emory's Mother, a fine artist, influenced him with her paintings
and use of beautiful colors.
These days, Emory, husband, father of three boys and uncle, spends his free time gardening, raising chickens, and
sharing his love for making fine jewelry.
He's also extremely passionate about self sustainable farming and growing food for his family and community.
EmorySilver reflects thirty years of jewelry creations and design, keeping the dying art of stamp work alive, with
the ability to pass it on to the next generation.
After twenty years, Emory, is still passionate and excited about the future of his unique pieces.
